All GP Clinics have now been directed to move to 70% phone and virtual consultations. With effect Monday 23rd March the Pokeno Family Health Clinic will be asking patients to either do a 'phone' or 'virtual' consult where this is feasible. Our Nurses and Doctors will still be conducting physical consultations where your medical condition requires this. To limit the risk to all patients and staff, we will be closing the clinic doors and only letting one patient in at a time. Patients arriving at the clinic for consultations will be met at the clinic main doors and asked to wait in your car until called into the clinic.
For virtual consultations, we will be using the Doxy.me telemedicine solution. This is a simple, free and secure online solution. Patients will receive a text notification and will be emailed a link from the GP to start the virtual call. There is no account setup or download of software required by patients. You can use your phone, ipad, laptop or desktop PC. You will however need to use either Firefox or Google Chrome as your web browser. If you don't have one of these Web browsers you can download them here:

Thank you for your patience and understanding at this very challenging time.
